Italia Range Mantello Nero (Cloak)
The Mantello Nero (Cloak) can be worn by clergy in a number of situations.
These are ideal for outdoor and cold weather situations and are suited to both male and female forms. They have become a popular garment for use when funeral and graveside services are being conducted and will keep the wearer warm and dry, protecting the cassock and similar garments underneath.
Our cloaks come with a number of fabric, collar and fastening options and are made in the finest grade 100% wool fabric available. Made in Rome by our Italian tailoring house, these cloaks are made to order and size and thus carry a small leadtime.

We ask that you allow at least 4 weeks during normal time to allow us to create your garment, although it is best to check timescales if you have a deadline in mind.

Italia Range Mantello Neo (Cloak) - IT-MANTELLO

The finest grade black cloth of wool (either heavyweight or medium weight) clerical cape complete with quality black velvet collar or pure wool collar - the choice is yours
Available with attached shoulder cape also as an option.
The neck fastening can be chosen in silver plate clasp, gold plate clasp or you can opt for the traditional black, braided, frog closure.
Custom made according to your back length and cassock collar size.

Notes on measuring for your cloak:
​
To accurately construct your cloak, the two main sizes that we require from you are: Drop length and collar size.
These measurements may usually be similar to your cassock sizing depending on how long you wish the cloak to be, when finished and usually the cloak will fall short of the overall cassock length. Bear in mind that the cloak will also be worn over the top of your cassock (or garments) when measuring for the collar size required.

For the drop length, measure from the base of the neck to where you wish the hem of the finished garment to be and this will give you the drop length required.
