Lay/Server Cassocks

An altar server is a lay assistant to a member of the clergy during a Christian liturgy. An altar server attends to supporting tasks at the altar such as fetching and carrying, ringing the altar bell, among other things. If young, the server is commonly called an altar boy or altar girl. In some Christian denominations, altar servers are known as acolytes.

Altar servers may often wear attire consisting of a Cassock with a Surplice/Cotta over the top.

We offer our Lay Cassocks below in different colour option fabrics and all are made to order to your specific size, so that a generic fit is not necessary.  Because we make your garment to order and size we do ask you to be patuiemient for around four weeks whilst we make it in our workshop.

Our new and improved deluxe single breasted  Lay Cassocks are made from permanent press and comfortable to wear, poly mix materials. Tailored in a full-cut style.  These are available in Black or Red.  They feature a collar with hook/eye fastening, concealed front buttoning, fly front fastening and are durable and washable.  Suitable for Servers and Lay Readers.  Top quality and made to order for an exact fit.

We offer our Lay Cassocks with or without underside lining (where applicable) which is applied to the top half of the cassock only and not to the length drape.
