Pocket Priest Stoles
A pocket stole, sometimes referred to as a visiting stole (or Sick Call stole) is a smaller version of the standard stole worn by the Priest. It is of a reversable kind, meaning that one side is purple, whilst the other side is white. Its smaller size means is fits into the pocket and is often carried by clergy in such a way or kept at hand in their bag/case or glove box of their vehicle so that it is at hand in a short notice case.
It is worn in the same way as a conventional full size stole.

The reversible nature of the stole means that it can be used as a confessional stole also (using the purple side) and/or a visiting stole when administering communion at home or hospital.
We offer a range of styles below, all expertly made in our workshop. They are double woven so will last for many years and can be easily laundered. Each stole also features embroidery to compliment the overall finish.

Brocade fabric St Cuthbert (Northern Saint) Cross Clergy Sick Call - Pocket Stole. Fantastic quality fabric. Embroidered threads to each end and both sides depicting the St Cuthbert Cross in fine detail. Small golden St Cuthbert cross embroidery to centre where the stole is placed around the neck and kissed by the celebrant,
